Just two hours downstream, Kentucky and Indiana are working to build a new Ohio River crossing. The I-69 Ohio River Crossing (ORX) is a project that people care about, and C2 Strategic has enjoyed working alongside the Project Team to link the communities of Henderson, KY and Evansville, IN. Recently, C2 Strategic helped coordinate stakeholder meetings and another round of open houses to inform the community about new developments to improve the I-69 corridor.
Each community hosted an open house with a large and engaged crowd seen on both sides of the river. Nearly 300 people attended the recent open houses. Current project updates about the preliminary alternatives for the I-69 ORX were shared and attendees had a chance to see fly-over videos of each alternative. A station focused on potential property impacts allowed attendees to see how their property could be impacted based on each alternative.
Public involvement is crucial to the success of this project, which is where C2 Strategic comes in. We work with the I-69 ORX team to connect the project with the communities affected and engage the region in the project’s development. The open houses provide an outlet for the community to provide their feedback and comments to make the project the best that it can be.
