Senior Director, Transportation & Infrastructure

With almost two decades of public relations, communications and governmental affairs experience, Angela Blank is a well-respected, passionate leader. She loves her home state of Kentucky, and it shows in the many projects and stories she has shared with regional and national media.

As a Senior Director, Angela works collaboratively to develop relationships and enhance the public’s understanding and brand recognition for clients. Previously in her role at the Kentucky Department of Tourism, she led all communication efforts, public relations, social media, communications campaigns and more, including managing a team of professionals. She has worked on campaigns that included gaining regional and national media in publications such as Kentucky Living, Southern Living, Food Network, Garden and Gun, Forbes and many more. She led the statewide media efforts for the award-winning Top Chef television show. She also hosted regional and international media for top events including Derby, Breeders’ Cup, Bourbon & Beyond Music Festival and more, sharing their stories to gain media coverage.

As a graduate of the University of Louisville, Angela began her career working at the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy where she led all communications and marketing efforts allowing for coverage of local stories to regional and statewide media. She led the efforts of their branding initiatives and their public relation campaigns, which is where her love of promoting sports tourism started. She led the agricultural media efforts for the FEI World Equestrian Games in 2010 as the agricultural liaison. She traveled internationally to China and other countries to tell the story of the importance of the Games being held in the “Horse Capital of the World.” Other highlights of her career include working for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture leading the public relations efforts as well as the Commissioner’s Hunger Initiative and the international exports initiative.

Angela and her husband, Josh, live near Simpsonville with their two children Henry (8) and Lily (4). They can be found enjoying the outdoors together camping, hiking, and spending time with their very large puppy Gracie.
