Abuzar Iqbal brings his Public Relations experience with energy and automobile companies to the world of C2 Strategic Communications.
Born in India, Abuzar spent his early childhood in England and was raised in Qatar before moving to the U.S. in 2017. His understanding of various cultures and backgrounds makes him an ideal communicator.
From an early age, Abuzar enjoyed experimenting with technology and media – building and designing his first website at the age of 11 – and becoming a self-taught Photoshop artist who loves to design graphics. A career in communications seemed almost inevitable.
While pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Minnesota State University, Abuzar started the “Maverick League of Legends” (MavLOL) club, a student organization for the video game League of Legends. Within one year of his leadership, the club gained more than 180 student members and two sponsors. The success of MavLOL led to the creation of Maverick Esports, an administrative-backed Esports program. Maverick Esports is the official varsity team for multiple games representing Minnesota State University, Mankato.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Abuzar went on to earn a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. For Abuzar’s Capstone Project, he created a full-scale communications plan for Suslence Research, an education-based company in India.
Abuzar loves the world of academia and wants to be a professor. His educational journey is not over, he aims to obtain a doctorate degree in the future.
Before joining C2, Abuzar interned at organizations including the BMW Group, FRAME Communications, Kahramaa Corporation and Minnesota State University. Through these experiences, Abuzar gained valuable experience with social media management, sales, government communications, content writing, communications research and branding.
Abuzar’s favorite activities include adventure sports (ATVs, off-roading), playing and watching “real” football (American soccer), playing video games and travelling the globe.
