C2 Strategic Communications is growing its team of seasoned public relations professionals and expanding into Central Kentucky. Brenna Angel, an award-winning communicator with experience in local government and journalism, joins C2 Strategic as a senior strategist based in a new Lexington office. Brenna will strengthen C2 Strategic’s transportation segment, working closely with engineering firms and transportation partners to promote infrastructure projects throughout Kentucky, and expand the company’s reach.

Brenna has spent the past five years engaging with residents, elected officials and media representatives as a public information officer for the Lexington Police Department. From human interest stories to crime and crisis events, Brenna managed communication plans and social media campaigns at a critical time. A public service announcement she directed and produced won an Emmy® Award, and her work has been recognized by Government Social Media, a national professional association.
Brenna also served as deputy communications director for former Lexington Mayor Jim Gray, highlighting city initiatives and working closely with the news media and residents.
Prior to her work with local government, Brenna was a news reporter for WUKY-FM in Lexington and WHAS-AM in Louisville. She has also taught public speaking and interpersonal communication as an adjunct instructor for Bluegrass Community & Technical College. Throughout her career, Brenna has been committed to telling stories and informing the public.
