LOUISVILLE (Sept. 18, 2018) – C2 Strategic Communications – one of the region’s top PR and marketing firms – is expanding with added services and staff members to support an ever-growing host of clients and community-changing initiatives.

Four communications professionals have joined the firm, now made up of 12 staff members and serving more than 20 clients, including RiverLink Tolling System, WellCare Health Plans, Omni Louisville Hotel and Resorts, River Ridge Commerce Center and numerous transportation agencies of Indiana and Kentucky.

“With a strong economy and increasing investment in infrastructure, we’re seeing clear demand for communications services that help citizens get involved and stay informed,” said President Chad Carlton. “We’re excited to add more top communicators to our experienced team.”

The additions to the team include:

Eric King is the firm’s newest senior strategist. The former WLKY news anchor brings more than 15 years of experience in broadcast journalism to C2 Strategic, with skills in producing breaking news, field reporting, managing developing stories, and communicating timely information with national audiences online. He has worked all over the country, including Dallas, Texas — the fifth-largest broadcast market in America. Eric joins C2 from his most recent position with Louisville’s WLKY, anchoring the 5 p.m. news with Vicki Dortch.

Andy Perez, C2’s new design director, brings a diverse portfolio of experience managing creative campaigns as the former design and digital marketing director for the Speed Art Museum. Featured in publications and galleries across the U.S., Andy’s work has spanned mediums of collage and acrylic paint to mixed media.  His design work spans editorial, conceptual, and advertorial styles, which will complement C2’s wide variety of clients. As C2’s first design director, Andy’s extensive background in art and design is a welcome addition as the team works to further expand its visual services.

Chelsea Spring, formerly a communications consultant in Washington D.C., joins the team as the newest staff strategist. Chelsea has worked extensively on communication issues in sectors including tech, energy, regional development, environment, athletics, and education. With expertise in creative public engagement and thought leadership, Chelsea brings valuable strategic perspective to the growing team.

Lisa Jessie, a former newspaper editor turned CPA, rejoins C2 as controller. Lisa will be responsible for financial reporting and budgeting, as well as strategic planning. Lisa comes to C2 from ElderServe, where she led the finance department for Louisville’s largest nonprofit devoted exclusively to helping older adults. She began her accounting career at MCM CPAs, one of the region’s largest public accounting firms.

Founded in 2011, C2 Strategic focuses on clients that are committed to community improvement. C2’s team has cultivated experience in the sectors of transportation, infrastructure, economic development, health care, non-profit, hospitality, education, and energy—and that list is growing every day.
