Our city has watched Omni Louisville climb  into the skyline, but a lot of the work of opening a premier hotel is not as visible to the public. One massive challenge is building an entire staff, from scratch, in time for opening day. C2 Strategic Communications has enjoyed telling the Omni Louisville story to our community as well as the rest of the country (did you see our mention in the New York Times?), but when it came to building a staff, we needed to help Omni reach a more targeted audience – the best hotel workers in the city!

Recently Omni held a three-day job fair to hire 350 employees by their March 6 opening date. Through strategic local media stories and targeted social media, our team reached hundreds of qualified hospitality workers throughout the city. During the job fair, the Omni team interviewed nearly 1,000 people, hired more than 250 new employees on the spot, and were so overrun with applicants that they had to schedule interviews for the following week!

Communications isn’t just about what you say – it’s about getting your message to the right people. When Omni opens its doors on March 6th, you’ll see evidence that they were able to connect to the most talented hospitality workers in a city known for world-class tourism.
